Pop up shops aren’t just for small, local businesses anymore. Like we mentioned last week, Nike has gotten in on the action by creating a small, mobile pop up shop that traveled all over the country last year.

Hello Kitty , who have seen great success with their mobile food truck café. Every time they have visited the city of San Diego, they have seen massive crowds. So they have decided to make a more permanent offering in the sunny city, in the form of a shipping container pop up shop. The concept is similar to their food truck, featuring a bright pink color and that lovable kitty that draws an instant fan base and name recognition.

Using a container, it still maintains its’ tiny charm, but with a slightly more permanent home in the popular Fashion Valley area. It not only features the iconic character and charming décor, it also provides outdoor patio eating space for its’ customers to enjoy the many menu items it provides. The menu includes specialty coffee drinks, pastries, cakes, and other treats, most notably; a seasonal strawberry tart and frozen strawberry lemonade.

The new pop up container shop, along with its' sister food truck, are the only places in Southern California that feature Hello Kitty treats and merch together. Making the shop not only one-of-a-kind, but instantly recognizable. The container used is a 20 foot one trip unit that was cut and converted to the needs and specifications of the shop.

Cherokee West can also customize one trip containers to buyer’s specifications. With designs from pop-up shops to offices, we can make cuts to your unit before it arrives, making it that much more easy to make your pop-up shop dreams a reality.
